These are the days when I wish I lived at 7 Pleasant Street or at least in Sagamore Hills. Shoot, I'd even take Ypsilanti, Michigan. I wish I was closer in geography to my family.
My Grandfather has had a few spills over the last few days and has chipped a bone in his hip. This required him to be admitted to the hospital and he will be transferred to a nursing home for more immediate care in the morning. I am really, really hoping this is short term but I'm afraid to wish to much. I'm really sad and just wish I could give him a really big hug. I keep telling myself that ever since my Grandmother died a few years ago my Grandpa has been lonely so maybe this change of scenery will be good for him. I hope.
If you have a chance would you say a little prayer for his healing. It would mean a lot to me.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to haer about Mac...lot's pf prayer's going his way
ReplyDeleteOh, so very sorry to hear that Beth. What nursing home? Prayers going out to him for sure!
ReplyDeleteHe's going to Autumnwood in Rittman. Of course insurance dictates the whole process, where he can go and how long he will stay. Tonight will be his first night. I'm feeling a lot more positive about the whole thing after talking to my Aunt's and Mom. I think my Mom could use the prayers as much as my Grandpa. I can tell she hasn't completely processed the whole thing yet. :)
ReplyDeleteHe has been in my prayers, Beth. He will be surrounded in prayers in this new journey of life. I will be thinking of you as well, It has to be hard living in another state and trying to deal with this. ~Daphne
